What Is Love?

NOTE: Unang napakinggan ko ito sa radyo, DWLL - The Mellow Touch, noong second year High School ako.  Madalas, pinapasok ito sa intro ng kantang Colour My World ng Chicago o sa interlude ng If I Should Love Again ni Barry Manilow.  Mula noon, inaabang-abangan ko s'ya upang ma-transcribe ko sa papel.  Nabuo ko noong fifth year College na ako.  Ang kaso, nawala ang aking kopya.  Buti na lang at may Internet, kaya, ilang search lang nahanap ko na s'ya.  Galing pala ito sa isang recording ng isang Amerikanong DJ, si Tom Clay.

What is love?

Is there really such a thing? Is... is love selfish, just a need fulfilled... someone to fulfill your need?

I think I know what love is. I can see you all now, waiting for the answer... right?

Love... is when, well, it's when you really don't care about yourself as much as you do the other person. In other words, it's not so much for the pleasure she gives to you, it's because you have someone to give pleasure to... someone that, that needs you. Maybe that's love... unselfish love.

It's like... when you're weary, and... and feeling small, right?  When tears are in her eyes, and you would dry them all. 

That's love.
